Question: Name one item that can protect your skin, fight aging, strengthen the scalp and beautify your hair, aid in the treatment of diabetes, rebel bugs and prevent mosquito breeding, treat athlete's foot, warts, kill fleas and ticks on pets and much, much more? If you answered "Neem Oil," then you answered correctly. If you don't know what Neem oil is, you're not alone, as I didn't know either, until I had the opportunity to try it for free in exchange for my honest review.
For those (like myself) who need to know where things "come from," you may be interested in knowing that Neem oil is derived from a tree native to India called the Azadiracta indica. It's also referred to as "Neem," "Nimtree," and "Indian Lilac." Due to it's abilities to combat insects, it's often used in agricultural products as a pesticide. However, while it fights insects, it's been found to be mostly non-toxic to birds, fish, wildlife and, when used properly, humans. With that said, many other amazing qualities of Neem have been discovered.
When being used to treat skin conditions, such as acne, eczema, and aging skin, Neem should only be used externally. Neem is known to have a little bit of a foul odor, but produces phenomenal results. With that said, many people like to mix it with their favorite essential oil to add a delightful scent.
I have not used Neem on my skin as of this posting. However, at the time I received my bottle of Neem oil, I had an odd influx in fungus gnats in my home. I think they probably came from some banana's that sat on top of the fridge for a day too long. Nevertheless, once those things start multiplying, they're almost impossible to get rid of! After scouring the Internet for a solution, I used a combination of solutions that seemed to work phenomenally. I poured 3 Tablespoons of Neem oil into a small 2 oz spray bottle. I then added a squirt of dish soap, and a little water. After spraying the areas where the gnats seemed to gather, including the trash can, I was able to eliminate the nasty little guys within 2 days. That alone gives me reason enough to keep a bottle handy at all times. Nevertheless, I have heard of so many great benefits of using Neem oil on the skin, I do plan on expanding my usage of it once I can tolerate the smell.
Have you ever used Neem oil? I would love to hear how you used it. Please share in the comments below!

Love It! Stainless Steel Tweezers ~~~REVIEW~~~
I was recently invited to try the Love It! Stainless Steel Precision Tweezer Kit for free in exchange for my honest review. On the day I received my new tweezer kit, I was preparing to go out with a few friends for my birthday. Occasions such as this are normally the only times I paint my fingernails and toenails, color my hair, pluck my eyebrows and apply fake eyelashes. With that said, my kit came at the perfect time! I had actually purchased a set of fake eyelashes earlier that day, and the tweezers that came with them were impossible to use. They were way to think and difficult to apply the lashes in the right place. My tweezer set, however, came with a small, pointed set of tweezers that worked perfectly to hold my lashes as I placed them carefully along the base of my lash line. The pointed tweezers will definitely get the most use as far as I'm concerned, but the other two, with larger tips will come in handy for a variety of tasks.Wednesday, June 17, 2015
#Thermalabs Glow2Go Self-Tanning Towelettes
Like many extremely pale-skinned women, I have spent years
trying to achieve the “perfect” tan. One
which doesn’t require hours under the harmful rays of the sun, endures
countless hours rubbing on aloe-vera following failed attempts resulting in
sunburn, and one that doesn’t result in carrot-colored skin following the use
of faux tan products. In fact, at
41-years old, I finally decided to throw in the towel this year and embrace my
pasty-white God-given canvas. But then…
I received the opportunity to try ThermaLabs Glow2Go Self-Tanning Towelettes in
exchange for my honest review.
I didn’t expect amazing results from these towelettes, but found
myself pleasantly surprised. First, the
towelettes come in a compact, handy box with an opening at the bottom where
they can be removed one at a time.
Organization is not my forte’, so I appreciate the packaging that allows
me to keep the packets together in one place.
My face was the first area I wanted to test. However, I must admit I was a little
hesitant. But, I work from home, so
figured that if I turned out looking like a hideous orange-faced creature, I just
wouldn’t leave home for a day or few. A
few hours after applying the product I didn’t notice any change. With that said, I was prepared to write a
negative review and considered not wasting any more of my time with the
product. However, after waking the next morning,
I noticed a delightful bronze-kissed face staring back at me as I glanced into
the mirror.
I then decided to try the towelettes out on other areas of
my body. The color of the results is
amazing. However, the towelettes are
very thin, making it difficult to apply to large areas. As I attempted to rub the towelette over my
skin, it would roll up and dry out, making it difficult to apply. With that said, I did experience some
streaking, but not to the extent that I was incredibly disappointed, mainly
because the color and effect of the streaking I did experience was by far, more
subtle and less noticeable than what I’ve experienced with other products in
the past.
I’ve used the product approximately every other day since
receiving it, with a couple exceptions, and it seems to have a lasting
effect. However, since I haven’t stopped
using it, I’m not quite sure how long, exactly, that might be. The longest I’ve went without using it is
three days, and it really didn’t fade too much by that point.
I have a heightened sense of smell and become nauseated
easily as a result of unpleasant odors.
I didn’t notice any scent whatsoever when I used the Glow2Go towelettes.
Like any self-tanning product, the instructions advise to
allow about 10 minutes before getting dressed after applying the product. Furthermore, shaving within 24 hours of
application is discouraged. I followed
the instructions as written and the results were amazing. Thanks to this product, my pale skin may
never make another appearance in this lifetime!
